ADULT LEARNING CENTER’S CHILD CARE
PROGRAM EARNS TOP NATIONAL ACCREDITATION AWARD
Nashua, NH – The Adult Learning Center’s (ALC) Child Care Program has earned top accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) – the nation’s leading organization of early childhood professionals. The Adult Learning Center earned a perfect score of 100% in Leadership, Teaching, Community Relationships and other criteria, a rare achievement that represents the highest recognition possible for excellence in Child Care.
“We’re proud to have earned this mark of quality from NAEYC, and to be recognized for our commitment to the highest program quality and professional standards,” said Jane Marquis, Child Care Program Director. “NAEYC Accreditation lets families in our community know that their children are getting the best care and early learning experiences possible.”
According to ALC Executive Director Mary Jordan, the child care programs at the Adult Learning Center are comprehensive and designed to provide peace of mind for working parents, ranging from infant care to pre-kindergarten programs.
To earn NAEYC Accreditation, the Adult Learning Center went through an extensive Self-Study process, measuring the program and its services against the 10 NAEYC Early Childhood Program Standards and more than 400 related Accreditation Criteria. The program received NAEYC Accreditation after a site visit by NAEYC Assessors to ensure that the program meets each of these standards.
“The NAEYC Accreditation system raises the bar for preschools, child care centers and other early childhood programs,” said Mark Ginsberg, Ph.D., executive director of NAEYC. “The Adult Learning Center’s NAEYC Accreditation is a sign that they are a leader in a national effort to invest in high-quality early childhood education, and to help give all children a better start.”
