Overview of Program
The Adult Learning Center offers a number of courses to enrich and expand knowledge and opportunities for our students and the general community. Conversational Sign Language, Spanish Conversation, U.S. Citizenship and Get Ready for College are current offerings.
In response to the need for trained and literate employees, we offer specialized English as a Second Language and Adult Basic Education classes on-site at local businesses. These classes, paid for by the employer, reflect the efforts of management to address the literacy needs of their workers.
What we offer
| Conversational Sign Language I |
Designed to teach basic signing techniques and vocabulary.
Start date: March 4
When: Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

A continuation of Sign Language I

| Spanish Conversation I |
Basic conversational Spanish vocabulary and simple sentences.
Class taught largely in Spanish with emphasis on speaking.
Start date: February 4

A continuation of Spanish Conversation I. Increased vocabulary, grammar, speaking, and Spanish culture.
