Overview of Program
The Adult Learning Center offers a number of courses to enrich and expand knowledge and opportunities for our students and the general community. Conversational Sign Language, Spanish Conversation, U.S. Citizenship and Get Ready for College are current offerings.
In response to the need for trained and literate employees, we offer specialized English as a Second Language and Adult Basic Education classes on-site at local businesses. These classes, paid for by the employer, reflect the efforts of management to address the literacy needs of their workers.
What we offer
| Conversational Sign Language I |
This class is designed to teach basic American Sign Language techniques and vocabulary.

Cost: $90 plus book fee.

This is a continuation of Sign Language I with more advanced sentence construction.

| Spanish Conversation I |
This class teaches basic conversational Spanish vocabulary and simple sentences. The class is taught largely in Spanish with emphasis on speaking.

This class is a continuation of Spanish Conversation I with expanded vocabulary and emphasis on grammar, speaking, and Spanish culture.

| United States Citizenship |
Students prepare for the U.S. Citizenship examination. There is no cost for the class.
