Overview of Program
The GED Testing Program gives adults and out-of-school youth an opportunity to demonstrate their academic skills and to earn the New Hampshire High School Equivalency Certificate, the GED. The GED exam is a nine-hour test taken over two days and includes tests of reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.
More information on the GED test can be found at www.nhadulted.org
What we offer
It is mandatory to pass the GED practice test before you are able to take the full GED examination. The practice test is administered monthly both day and evening at the Adult Learning Center. The practice test costs $15 cash or money order.
If you have taken the practice GED test elsewhere, you will need to provide a copy of your scores when registering for the full GED exam.
Practice Tests are administered in Writing, Mathematics and Social Studies. Testing takes approximately 3 ½ hours. Results and recommendations are given at the end of the test session.
In order to pass the Practice Test, scores of at least 410 out of 800 must be achieved in each of the three tests. In addition, the overall average of the three tests must be at least 450.
